Heed these wise words below from the Giants in the cannabis movement, Dan Herer, son of Jack Herer, Steve DeAngelo and Ed Rosenthal. (If any of those names are new to you, hop on Google or search here at Green Hit Shirts.) I agree with all three gentlemen, wish them well, and standby their sides in support of Prop 19 to Regulate, Tax, Control Cannabis in California in 2010. Please register to vote immediately. Once you are registered, I recommend voting by mail. Yes! on Prop 19
The following is an excerpt from a letter written about Prop 19 and Jack Herer’s support of the initiative, written by Dan Herer, Jack’s eldest son:
Jack railed against Tax Cannabis 2010, now Proposition 19, and its plan for limited legalization and local authority to tax and regulate marijuana sales to adults 21 and above. It falls far short of what he wanted. Jack ‘wanted it all,’ and Prop 19 is just a part of that dream.
Unfortunately, Jack passed away before Prop 19 made the 2010 ballot; so many people think he would still oppose it. We don’t believe that, and we ask that everyone stop saying he would cling to that position as we move toward the Nov. 2 vote.
As his family, we want the world to know that the last thing Jack Herer would want is for Californians to vote to keep Cannabis illegal. He was smart and had the political savvy to know that once a measure is on the ballot, the time for bickering has passed.
That is why he campaigned for Prop 215 despite its shortcomings. That is why, were he able, he would now be telling voters to rally around and Vote Yes on Prop 19.
Words by Ed Rosenthal:
The reality is that this Initiative, Prop. 19, is here, now. There isn’t another one on the horizon and it is important that this one get passed. It will set off a tidal wave across the country and around the world. It will light the first beacon in all the world signaling freedom from harassment.
IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT PROP 19 PASS. Can you imagine going into a voting booth and voting no on legalization? You must be crazy or just insane. Think and think again until you get it right, and don’t believe everything you think. Listen to other people- to the collective wisdom of millions yearning to be free from the police state that the marijuana laws create.
If you can vote here, would you be proud to tell your children or grandchildren, “I had a chance to vote for legalization in ’10, but I didn’t think the initiative met my standards.”?
Get real. When this initiative passes it will change the paradigm worldwide. It will be as important as the felling of the Berlin Wall. This initiative will breach the dike of prohibition. “And the walls will come tumblin’ down.”
– Ed Rosenthal
Finally, words by Steve DeAngelo:
I would like to add my voice to Ed Rosenthal’s. As one who initially questioned the wisdom of putting Prop 19 on the ballot, I would like to send a clear message to anybody who is still on the fence: You must vote in favor of Prop 19. Not only that, you should give as deeply as you can to the campaign. There are hundreds of thousands of people, all around the world, rotting in prison cells because of cannabis prohibition. Until the last of those prisoners walks out of their cells, it is incumbent upon all lovers of cannabis, and lovers of freedom, to take full advantage of every possible chance to change the law. Yes, Prop 19 is not perfect. And yes, it may have been wiser to wait until 2012. But it is ON THE BALLOT NOW, and that changes everything.
It’s as simple as this: we owe it to our imprisoned brethren to do all we can to pass Prop 19.
Feel free to spread this message,
Steve DeAngelo

GreenHitShirts medical marijuana T shirt pot slang name of the day: Stash
We’re going to stretch the definition of stash to include a nook where you can store some of your marijuana apparel, your marijuana card, any marijuana designs for marijuana art which you may be working on should also be grouped together to be your “stash”. Of course, if you buy marijuana and store it in this same area then we will include your bag of marijuana in the collective “stash”. The marijuana itself becomes the stash in this case, further deepening the definition to those who may be reading the marijuana term for the first time. Those of you who frequent cannabis dispensaries, or just one cannabis dispensary, will have attained enough knowledge to recognize much of the marijuana slang readily. One might not choose to hide one’s cannabis t shirts, even if they are blatant legalize marijuana t shirts, but if you do, and you keep it with your fat sack of marijuana, we’re calling it all your stash. Phish stash if you keep good music there. Cheers, friends!
