Does the Department of Justice scare you with their tactics? They are sure trying. What if you were the governor of Colorado? Would you be afraid? I say Washington DC is a small place with no power on this issue. If all the local governments stand up, the wall of the tragic comedy of the war on drugs will finally come down. I say we call their bluff. NORML thinks so too. Tell us what you think.

High Minded Marijuana Quote of the Day:
“What this world needs is a new kind of army – the army of the Kind.”
–Cleveland Amory
An American capitalist profiting from the recent pseudo-legalization of marijuana in the U.S. by opening up a dispensary that sells the plant in smokeable form to registered medical marijuana patients. With low overhead and endless demand for their product, ganjapreneurs — as opposed to less successful entrepreneurs — have almost a zero percent chance of their business failing through typical channels. Used recently by Atlantic Monthly and Denver Westword magazine to describe marijuana retailers in Colorado, but can refer to any legal ganja shopkeeper in America.
“Many (medical marijuana dispensaries) are operated by what insiders are calling a ‘second wave’ of ganjapreneurs …”
—Denver Westword magazine, September 2009
Please listen to the good North Dakota farmers who want to use industrial hemp as a rotation crop to add value to their struggling family farms. As many as 30 countries in the world grow industrial hemp, and we remain the world’s largest market for their products because we cannot legally grow our own. The list of products which can be made from hemp is long and varied. Hemp can be used to make rope, canvas, clothing, fiber for automobile interiors, as a building material that is highly fire resistant, as oil for industrial uses, and also for human consumption. In fact, hemp is so rich in Omega-3 essential fatty acids, that Americans could benefit considerably from lowered cancer risks and increased mental health simply from consuming more hemp seeds, flour, and oil. We already have a well established domestic marketplace for hemp products of all kinds from candles to bread. The time is now for the American government to do the Right thing for our economy and our people by allowing our farmers to grow the product that we are now importing on such a large scale. Ignorance is no longer acceptable. Enjoy the video.
